Program Description

Our Reading Program

Our back-to-basics curriculum supports early readers through the “Zoo-Phonics” reading program. We believe children develop at different rates, so we create an individualized learning plan for each child and guide them at their own pace—while still providing the right level of challenge.

Each day, your child will work one-on-one or in a small group with a teacher on the skills they need most. Depending on your child’s level, learning may include letter and sound recognition, colors and shapes, sight words, phonics readers, and reading comprehension.

Your child will strengthen fine-motor and pre-writing skills through hands-on art and sensory experiences like cutting, gluing, finger painting, Q-tip painting, seasonal sensory bins, and other themed activities. We devote plenty of time to building these foundational skills, and once they are mastered, we move into letter formation with confidence.

Your child will enjoy developing his/her fine motor skills through lots of art activities that include cutting, gluing, finger painting, Q-tip painting, Seasonal sensory bins and other seasonal activities. We spend a lot of time with these pre-writing skills and move into letter formation once the above are mastered.

Our day is filled with songs, games and other activities to help develop your child’s social skills. Your child will enjoy making new friends and playing in our clean classrooms with the most up-to-date equipment and toys.
